I’ve had my iHooToo 12 volt ac for a while, and installed it in my Nissan NV 2500 high top van, as soon as I could set my two solar panels in place. Installation was very straightforward, but at 66 years old now, my experience cutting into van roofs dates back 50 years to my first van. I knew to cut a 14x14” hole, because it is standard, and if the AC ever failed, I could slap a vent fan in until it was repaired, or replaced. It is a quality built AC, so should run for years. When you open the top, you see quality construction, beyond others I have seen. It not only has an inverter compressor, but it is mounted on springs, which is fantastic because vans and campers, “shake, rattle, and roll”! Next I noticed an insulation blanket on the compressor, also something I’ve never seen. The gasket is straightforward as well, just make sure you clean the surface, and final wipe with alcohol, which is probably in the manual? I loved that it had one bracket and the inside housing slips right on, small screws hold it in place. Others I have seen need the bolts changed, etc, just to fit the inside parts. The voice control is so cool, no pun intended, but priceless when you enter from the side door and the remote is on the wall out of reach. Just say the command, and you are on your way to being cool and comfortable, in no time. I have a 600 amp hour battery, 600 watts of solar, but not hooked up yet. What’s incredible is I only use sleep mode so far because of the 6’x 9’, x 6’ space, and stay comfortable. It only draws 21.5 amps (258 watts) on sleep mode, maybe 23 amps with highest fan speed. We had a mild day Saturday and on sleep mode, the inverter compressor dialed it down to 19 amps.. At settings this low, it would run between 4 & 5 hours, for every 100 amp hour battery you have. With solar/sun, it would probably never run out? The first thing you notice is immediately, the humidity drops rapidly, so even before the temperature drops, which that’s great too, you feel cool. In my house my air is on 70 to be comfortable. I’ve had inside my van at 80, when it starts, and feels cool. I sweat at 71 in my home. Water pours off my roof, showing how well it removes humidity. I absolutely love my iHooToo 12 volt AC, and think you will too? I also noticed they put it on sale now, even a little under my Amazon coupon pice. Lastly, unlike a lot of overseas merchandise, they responded to every question I’ve had, by 2pm the following day. I’m hoping they will have a US support one day with US phone support too, just in case. So far, it is priceless, being able to install insulation in my van in summer heat, and be very comfortable and cool. I plan to do some videos but am just so busy presently. . It’s a beautiful and very functional unit. Oh, one last other unique feature is the SWING MODE.. other units have stationary vents, not IHooToo, it swings to distribute the air, but can be locked in any direction, which I use when cutting insulation inside, or laying in bed. I’d give it 6 stars if they were available. Love it!
